Books About Cats To Read This Summer

If you’re looking for books about cats to read in the coming months, there’s no shortage of titles from which to choose.   • Furry Paw, Middle Claw: A Novel, by first-time author, Barry Jackson is loosely based upon events in the author’s life as he overcame an abusive childhood, found love, raised an autistic child and learned to love and appreciate cats.   • Grey Dawn: A Dulcie Schwartz Feline Mystery, by Clea Simon is the sixth in a series of Dulcie Schwartz mysteries. When a university student who looks like Dulcie was attacked, Dulcie investigated the crime with the assistance of her kitten, Esmé and the ghost of her late cat, Mr. Grey. Release date: June 1, 2013.
  • The Secret of Lost Cats: One Woman, Twenty Posters, and a New Understanding of Love, by Dr. Nancy Davidson is about her search for her lost cat and stories the author uncovered as a result of her seven-year passion with lost cat posters. Release date: July 23, 2013.
  • A Street Cat Named Bob: And How He Saved My Life, by James Bowen is based upon real-life events of the author who is a U.K. street musician who saved a stray cat who’d change his life. This book was on the best seller list in England for 52 consecutive weeks. This book was brought to this writer’s attention by one of her cousins who lives in Bordeaux, France. She purchased the book on a trip to England. Release date: July 30,  2013.

A number of books for children, calendars, and care books are also due to be released soon, too. Books may be pre-ordered from booksellers such as Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
