Cat Products: Have You Tried Glow-In-The Dark Collars?

Summer sure went by fast and the days are getting shorter. I don’t know about you, but although this writer knows cats excel in getting around in the dark, I get concerned about them any how. Yes, I admit it, I’m a helicopter pet parent.

There are numerous ways to add light to rooms that are going dark earlier and earlier, including purchasing a timer and plugging it into a lamp and setting the light to go and and off at certain designated hours.

Another way is to purchase a glow-in-the-dark cat collar like this one I found, Rogz Catz Small 3/8-Inch Glow Cat Safeloc Breakaway Clip Adjustable, Reflective and Glow-in-the-Dark Cat Collar, Gecko Design. The breakaway collar comes in three patterns and fits necks sizes from 8 to 12 inches. There’s reflective tape that needs to be exposed to direct light to be activated.

With Daylight Savings Time in the United States ending on Sunday, November 3, pet parents like me who constantly worry about their precious little ones’ comfort (even if a special collar or timer makes us feel better and makes no difference to them) might like to look into some lighting options .
