DIY: Make A Catnip Toy

Do you spend lots of money on cat toys and find that your cat gets tired of them in no time?  Check out this felt toy that’s quick and easy, even if you aren’t an experienced seamstress!

Materials:

  • Scissors
  • Dried Catnip
  • Cotton balls
  • 2 sheets of felt

Directions:

  1. Cut a 3×3 inch square out of each sheet of felt.
  2. Stack the squares and sew together on three sides, with 3/8 inch seam allowance.  Preferably use a sewing machine, if you don’t have one be sure you use small hand stitches.
  3. Stuff the opening with catnip and cotton balls (these will give the toy some bulk).

Watch your cat enjoy!
