I’m always on the lookout for cat products Marty might like. I’ve tried several of these products with Marty and several cat sitting clients and they’ve been given two paws up by all:
TickledPet Freeze Dried Salmon Treats.
A bag of these treats was included in the swag bag I received at the BlogPaws conference. I had the box of goodies sitting on the kitchen counter, my cat Marty went through all of them to get to this bag. As you can see from the image above, he tore open the bag and dug in! Marty absolutely LOVES these treats! If your cat is a salmon fan, he will love these treats too.
Nature’s Variety Raw Boost Mixers
If
you’d like to introduce raw food into your cat’s diet, but are hesitant to make the change, these Raw Boost Mixers are a great place to start. The Mixers are freeze-dried cubes of raw food that come in chicken, rabbit and duck varieties. Sprinkle a few on top of your cat’s dry food to give a boost of raw food nutrition. They can also be used for treats. My cat Marty loves them, and the cat clients I’ve introduced to them have proclaimed them a winner as well. They are also available for dogs.
Dr. Catsby’s Feline Remedies Bowl for Whisker Fatigue
Does your cat take his food out of his bowl to eat on the floor? Does he leave a mess around his bowl after eating? He may be suffering from “whisker fatigue.” When a cat’s whiskers hit the side of his food bowl while eating, it can become quite painful. To
prevent that whisker pain, cats may remove the food from the bowl. This bowl from Dr. Gatsby is made of stainless steel, and is wide with very low sides. This prevents the whisker fatigue that comes from food bowls that are too narrow.
I discovered this product a while ago. My cat Marty was never a fan of brushing, so I was skeptical when I received this product to review. I tried the Groom Genie on Marty, and he absolutely loved it! The bristles are flexible and provide a messaging action as you brush. It’s small enough to fit easily in your hands, and is easy to clean. Marty likes this so much he’ll start brushing himself if I set it down.
This product isn’t new, but it’s one Marty absolutely loves! I’ve tried different
scratchers with different surfaces, but Marty won’t use any scratcher other than ones made of cardboard. The Scratch Lounge has cardboard on three sides, and all surfaces can be replaced when needed. Because of its shape, Marty has decided it makes a great place to grab a quick nap, so not only is this a scratcher, but it functions as a bed too!
