Does your cat enjoy sitting in the lap of luxury? If so, the Ing’s Luxury Cat Hotel may be just the place for him. Located in Yorkshire, Great Britain, Ing’s goes the extra mile to provide their feline guests a five star lodging experience. The owner, Jo Ounsley, decided to establish the hotel after planning a trip and not being comfortable with existing accommodation for her cat while she and her family were away.
The resort has 12 suites, each with a different animal inspired theme. Each suite has under floor heating, and a floor to ceiling activity wall. All suites come equipped with flat screen TV’s playing a variety of DVD’s throughout the day that appeal to cats including a virtual aquarium, a waterfall and bird cage. Suite names include: River Trout Suite, Woodland Suite and Grey Squirrel. Decor in each suite coincides with the name given.
For the feline that enjoys a little extra pampering, add-on packages are available. Add-ons include bedtime bonuses such as a bowl of lactose free milk, a chew stick snack and a bedtime story. An energizing package includes a steady supply of homegrown wheat grass, catnip toys, and catnip treats. An added bonus is catnip bubbles to chase for a little extra activity. For the feline that needs to relax, a massage package is available. Candles and relaxing music add to the experience. Add-ons range in price from £5 ($8.43) per night from the bedtime package to £20 ($33.73) for the energize package that runs for duration of the stay.
The menu is top notch, offering clients a la carte selections such as the Seafood Medley featuring prawns, steamed cod and salmon. Cost is £4 ($6.75) per meal. Prices for suites range from £15 ($25.30) per night for one guest to £31 ($52.28) per night for 4 guests in the same suite.
