Is Your Cat Telepathic?

Cats are mysterious and magical creatures, right? They seem to stand apart from other domestic animals in that regard. At times, we almost struggle to fully understand them. What is interesting to me is I have read some commentary suggesting cats are empathic, capable of bringing healing to your mind, body and soul. What do you think?

For example, cats tend to be more in tune with the spiritual world than we are. Translation?  They can sense our emotional needs and the needs of the spirits that supposedly surround us. If you are sensitive to negative energies, cats can help to ward these off.  Cats are also known for sensing the other worldly and seeing things our eyes are unable to see.

This is nothing new, however. Cultures across the centuries have realized the powers of felines, some going to far as to refer to them as goddesses. Let’s face it. Cats have an innate power to make people happy and at ease with very little effort on their part. If you love a cat, you already understand how just holding one in your lap can minimize stress.

Mind readers

Do you ever feel as if your cat is reading your mind?  Cats tend to notice when we are down, hurt, upset, angry or sad.  During those times of emotional distress, cats tend to stay by our side. This is when cats are employing their healing powers.

Changes in behavior

When cats notice something unusual, they tend to behave in strange ways. Some ancient Egyptian mythology indicates cats have the power to keep evil spirits at bay and can also sense any psychic presence in their midst.  Buddhists actually believe cats are the souls of the dead that take the form of a cat before assuming another life.

Fortune tellers

While the jury is still out on whether or not cats are truly psychic, they can alert us when something bad is about to happen. Perhaps you have seen your cat act strangely at times, almost as if he is playing or interacting with something you cannot see. Is this just playfulness or can he actually see something beyond this dimension?  Some folks say their cat’s eyes appear to follow or track things invisible to the human eye.

What do you think?  Do cats have that legendary sixth sense?  Can they observe other realms?  Are they truly psychic?
