Cat Behavior Is About Time Management

Cat BehaviorWhen it comes to cat behavior, it’s about watching the clock. Cats are very much about favorite locations, and in multi-cat households it can be tricky to keep their schedule intact.

Cats like to stick to a schedule, spending a certain number of hours in a given spot before moving on to the next location.  If you’ve ever noticed one cat chasing another from a given spot, it’s a feline way of saying “it’s my turn now”.

Problems arise when there either aren’t enough prime locations for each cat to have a favorite spot, or one cat decides to challenge the other for prime ownership of a given location.

In her post, “How Cats Time-Share” Pam Johnson-Bennett, renowned cat behavior expert explains the dynamics of cat time management and how to prevent problems from occurring.
