Children’s Art Project: Give A Gift And Make A Difference

giftThere are so many gift options available, it’s always nice when the gift you give someone not only makes them happy but helps support a good cause too.  Such is the case with the Kitty and Doggie Ceramic Treat Canisters available via The Children’s Art Project at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Children’s Art Project was established in 1973, and to date has provided $30 million to help children fighting cancer and their families. Each year, the programs funded through Children’s Art Project sales touch more than 26,000 pediatric patients and families.

The Children’s Art Project provides funds for activities such as: in-hospital schooling, college scholarships for current and former patients, summer camps and rehabilitation ski trips.  Proceeds from the sale of all these products return to help pediatric cancer patients.

The treat canisters are ceramic and are hand washable.  They measure 9.5″x4.75″x6.75″ (with handle) and are decorated with artwork created in weekly art classes by pediatric patients at the Center.  Canisters are $29 each, shipping is $8.

If you’re looking for a gift for the pet or pet lover in your life check out these treat canisters, or other Children’s Art Project gifts at childrensart.org
