From time to time we feature a cat poem written by Teresa Harrison-Best. Here is the latest she shared on our Facebook page. The poem was inspired by a true story she heard from a veterinary practitioner. Enjoy!
A Venting Vet
Will you please control your crazy cat,
he’s causing such a stir
He’s stampeding around the waiting room,
and nothing will deter.
He came here for his yearly check
and a booster in his rear.
He saw the hypodermic spike
and hollered out in fear.
We chased him up the curtain pole
and yanked him by the tail.
He shot across the treatment room,
to stop him we did fail.
We tried to call and coax him back.
He hissed and spat some more.
Then Nurse Malone did wrestle him
on to the lino floor.
Lucifer is waiting here
entwined with Nurse Malone.
So hurry back to claim your cat
and take him to his home.
